High recognition
This programme is offered by Sheffield Business School which is AACSB accredited. AACSB is known for its very high standard, less than 5% of business schools worldwide have received this accreditation.

Modules

Academic and Professional Excellence 

This module aims to support international students in developing cognitive, metacognitive, interpersonal, technological, professional and academic skills to enable them to successfully engage with their studies at the final year and to progress successfully to post-graduate study.  It is designed to assist you in developing specified subject-specific and employability skills alongside the development of language competence.

Implementing Strategy and Change 

This module looks at the way strategy and change is implemented in a variety of organisations and contexts.  As organisations develop they change to meet the needs of their altered environment.  Organisations make strategic choices which will affect the direction the organisation will take.  This module helps you to gain an understanding of the strategic decisions that organisations make and their implications.

Leadership in Contemporary Organisations

This module explores contemporary leadership challenges facing organisations today. In addition to exploring current literature, case studies and examples of leaders, you will develop a clear view of their personal leadership preferences and aspirations. You will complete the module with a comprehensive understanding of effective leadership styles and approaches and how they might personally lead in their future roles.

Marketing in a Global Context 

This module develops your understanding of the marketing management capabilities needed in the global marketing decision making process and to give you the opportunity to practically apply analytical and conceptual frameworks to identify and build competitive advantage in non-domestic markets.

Managing the Digital Enterprise 

The digital landscape has changed the way business is conducted and impacts all sectors. These changes affect not only the individual company and their products or services, but entire industries leading to the development of new and diverse business models. All organisations need strategies and actions to develop and sustain a digital business. The module integrates theory and practice and considers key issues including the growth of the mobile digital platform and the rapid expansion in digital traffic. Given the growth in these developments, this module covers topic areas of interest to all students and takes an international approach and includes contemporary coverage of all key issues.

Financial Fluency for Decision Making 

The aim of this module is to acquire and critically examine knowledge of core concepts that inform senior management's decision-making in the area of financial management. In addition the module aims to develop a critical understanding of regulatory, political and economic contexts which contribute to an organisation’s operational and strategic activities.

Employment
  • Degree qualifications pitched at QF Level 5 are formally recognised by the HKSAR Government for employment purposes within the Civil Service for graduate posts.

Further Studies
  • Having been recognised at QF Level 5, this top-up degree programme meets the standard of locally-accredited bachelor's degree programmes. Upon graduation, students can pursue their further studies at Master’s degree level in Hong Kong.

English Proficiency Requirements

  • Applicants holding post-secondary qualifications (e.g. Higher Diploma, Associate Degree) taught and assessed in English from recognised institutions;

OR

  • At least an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (with a minimum of 5.5 in each of the four skills), or equivalent.

Apart from a multidisciplinary business awareness, our graduates have also acquired the knowledge and skills to become reflective and adaptable business practitioners who are well prepared for the industry. As such, most of our graduates are employed soon after graduation in different fields relevant to business and management, such as Customer Services Officer, Assistant Property Manager, Marketing Executive and the like.
