Good News!! Students of Digital Media won awards at the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2024

Students studying BSc (Hons) Digital Media, UWE Bristol, have just won awards in the competition held at the Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2024.

 

The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an annual worldwide distributed game jam, originally developed under the International Game Development Association Education SIG to bring together creativity, collaboration and experimentation elements. This year (2024), over 16 thousand jammers in 759 jam sites in 99 countries participated in Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2024.

 

Students from the BSc (Hons) Digital Media participated at UK and Hong Kong jamming sites from January 28-30, 2024. They developed ideas, formed groups, and created new, creative, and innovative games, presenting them to their peers, industry professionals, and the global community, all within just 48 hours of development.

 

Two student teams from the Digital Media Top-up Degree won the awards from Global Game Jam (GGJ) 2024 in the UK and HK jamming sites.
